Brownills involvement in BII rent review roadshows
Brownill Bateman partner Rodger Vickers having been selected by the British Institute of Innkeepers as one of 'two of the country's leading experts on rents' to address and deal with Q & A sessions at licensed property rent review roadshows duly delivered at well attended events at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton and at Elland Road, Leeds.
The roadshows were run by the BII in association with the Morning Advertiser. Sponsors were Punch Taverns, Enterprise Inns, Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises and Admiral Taverns.
Andrew Pring, editor of the Morning Advertiser, proved to be an inspired choice as chairman conducting proceedings seamlessly and being particularly adroit at introducing and inspiring the most searching of questions as the events proceeded.
Each event included a detailed address by Rodger as to the manner in which licensed property rentals were calculated prior to separate 'break out' sessions chaired by the BII's own Phil Dixon, well known for his licensed property columns in specialist news publications for the licensed trade, and Rodger.
Extremely well received roadshows, extensively reported in the licensed press - the BII are to be congratulated.
